The grace that was me from God, to be a minister of Christ Jesus to the [people], ministering as a priest - the Gospel of God, so that the offering of the [people] may be acceptable and sanctified through the Holy Spirit. Romans 15:15-16
General Ministries. First of all, one must remember that Pastor Dave is NOT a Roman Catholic - he is apart of the greater reformed Catholic community known as the Old Catholic movement in North America and is a member of Christ's Catholic Church - an ecumenical free Catholic communion that is centered in Hollister, Missouri. His missionary pastoral ministries have an open door policy - in that all Christians of the general public may receive all the Catholic Sacraments and Pastoral Ministries. The primary book of Catholic liturgies and rites used by Pastor Dave is the Anglican worship book - The Book of Common Prayer (1979 American edition).
Autism Awareness. Pastor Dave makes himself available to groups and congregations to speak about "Living With Autism." Generally speaking, autism has three functioning levels: high, middle, and low (severe). Sadly, most television news reports are only focusing on individuals with higher functioning forms of autism and are largely ignoring the individuals with middle to low functioning forms of autism. If you would like Pastor Dave to come and speak about life with autism, he would enjoy hearing from you.
Ecumenical Wedding Ministry. Okay, you have the rings, you rented the place you want the wedding at, and you have the license. Then it hits you, we do not have an affiliation with a church and we need a minister! Pastor Dave is more than willing to be the minister on your special day; with no hidden strings attached.
Pastor Dave has an ecumenical wedding ministry that welcomes all Christians of the general public. Pastor Dave uses the wedding rite found in The Book of Common Prayer (1979 American edition), he selected the rites of The Book of Common Prayer because they have always had a special place in American society. The rites have appeared on television shows, in the movies, and they have been used by many prominent Americans, many who are not even Anglicans (Episcopalians). Pastor Dave will sit down with you and help you select music (church music, your music, spiritual music) and Scripture readings for this rite. Donations for services should only be offered after the rite and they should be based only upon what the couple can give.
Ecumenical Funeral/Memorial Ministry. Pastor Dave has an outreach ministry to all Christians of the general public who are in need of a funeral or memorial rite offered by a minister. Pastor Dave will come to any chapel, funeral home, or grave site; he uses the Book of Common Prayer (1979 American edition) for all of these rites. Funerals/Memorials may be the common rite or it may be the Anglo-Catholic version of it with Holy Communion. A grave site service is offered for those who only desire a simple service. For more information about these rituals please contact Pastor Dave.
Ministry of Yard Debris Removeal and General Hauling. Tacoma, Washington residents, while I am not a gardener nor do I have much of a green thumb, but if that last storm made mess a in your yard or if you have man made items in your yard that is making it untidy because you do not have the time or ability to deal with it. From September until the first week in June of each year Pastor Dave is willing to come out and clean up that mess. Also, Pastor Dave will haul "small" household items under 25 pounds from one place to another. For both of these ministries he does not operate from a set fee, he simply accepts what a person can offer. Please note, Pastor Dave does not want any reimbursement until all work is done.
Moment of Blessing. Whenever parenting responsibilities allow, Pastor Dave participates in the Moments of Blessing, which is a program of Associated Ministries of Tacoma and designed to reclaim spaces where homicides have occurred. The brief rite is open to the general public and designed to give support to the victim's family, friends, and the neighboring community.
